Kansas City sobriety checkpoint late Friday and early Saturday snagged eight drivers who were charged with driving under the influence, police said.At the checkpoint set up in the eastbound lane at 3719 Independence Avenue, officers stopped 377 vehicles. In addition to the DUI arrests, officers also made one arrest for possession of methamphetamine and four for driving while revoked.
