Springfield police plan to conduct a DWI saturation patrol Friday night, the department said in a press release.
Sixteen police officers will be on duty during the city-wide patrol to focus on catching drunk drivers.
The operation is the second of three planned this month and is funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation.
An earlier saturation patrol conducted Dec. 8 resulted in 16 DWI arrests during a five hour period. The timing of the third and final patrol funded the grant has not been announced.
