Free at last, Lindsay Lohan completes DUI class

Glendale, CA
No longer a wanted woman, Lindsay Lohan apparently felt it safe to finally show her face on this sunshiny day.

The beleaguered starlet—the object of a $50,000 arrest warrant issued Friday night and rescinded this morning after a judge deemed Lohan's behavior A-OK—emerged from gal-pal Samantha Ronson's Hollywood home at 1:20 p.m.

Accompanied by her assistant and a security team, Lohan wordlessly sidestepped a horde of paparazzi and fans and climbed into a waiting vehicle. Then it was off to an alcohol-education class at Right On Programs in Glendale.

"You would think it was President Obama in there," one onlooker told E! News. "The security guards were decked out in black suits, earpieces, sunglasses. They looked like secret service."

Lohan hadn't been seen since she arrived at Ronson's pad at about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Instead, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel has determined that Lohan was in compliance with the terms of her sentence for a pair of 2007 DUIs but had failed to provide the proper proof to her court-ordered alcohol treatment program.

It is now Lohan's responsiblity to make sure everyone is on the same page about her treatment, Revel said.

Warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan, on DUI probation

Beverly Hills, CA
Beverly Hills, California, police want Lindsay Lohan to turn herself in on an arrest warrant issued Friday.

Lindsay Lohan was placed on three years' probation after being convicted of drunken driving in 2007.

Lindsay Lohan was placed on three years' probation after being convicted of drunken driving in 2007.

A police official told CNN on Saturday that officers will be on the lookout for the actress-singer until she does so.

It wasn't clear why Lohan was being sought, but the warrant, issued by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge in Beverly Hills, apparently stems from her 2007 convictions for drunken driving, Beverly Hills police Sgt. Mike Foxen said. She is serving three years' probation for those convictions.

"We're hoping that she will turn herself in," Foxen said.

Calls to Lohan's publicist and manager have not been returned.

Once arrested, Lohan, 22, could go free after posting a $50,000 bond, Foxen said.

Lohan was arrested twice in 2007 on driving under the influence charges, with a cocaine possession charge in the second incident.

The first arrest in May came after Lohan lost control of her Mercedes-Benz convertible and struck a Beverly Hills curb.

Just two weeks after checking out of a Malibu drug and alcohol rehab facility, she was arrested again in July 2007 after a woman called Santa Monica police saying Lohan was trying to run her down in a car.

A judge sentenced Lohan to three years' probation after she entered guilty and no-contest pleas to the charges. She served less than two hours in jail.

Lohan's acting career, which started at age 10 on a soap opera, took off on the big screen a year later when she played identical twins in Disney's "The Parent Trap."

Since then, she has starred in at least a dozen movies, including "Mean Girls" and "Georgia Rule" with Jane Fonda in 2007.

Her pop music recording career, boosted by her movie roles, has floundered. She last released an album in 2005.

Lindsay Lindsay's violates DUI probation

Los Angeles, CA
Lindsay Lohan might not have technically split with Samantha Ronson, but the lovers' tiff almost led to Lohan technically violating probation in her DUI case.

While the legging-favoring actress was diverting attention yesterday by shopping with her sister in Malibu, attorney Blair Berk was in Beverly Hills Court attending a progress hearing on Lohan's behalf.

During the hearing it was revealed that the reformed 22-year-old failed to reenroll in her alcohol-education course within the required time frame—a necessity, salivating gossip hounds will be pleased to know, because the actress recently changed her official place of residence from Ronson's to a new address.

"It was just a technicality," Los Angeles Superior Court spokeswoman Vania Stuelp tells E! News. "They have fixed the addresses and paperwork, and there is no violation of probation."

Lohan will not face any fallout from the clerical error, and another hearing has been set for Feb. 5, at which time the actress will be required to show proof of reenrollment.

As for her probation, Lohan has until July 14 to complete her alcohol-education courses.

Lindsay Lohan sued over DUI "car jacking"

Los Angeles, CA
Lindsay Lohan is facing a lawsuit from three men who claim she hijacked a car and held them hostage last July.

Ronnie Blake, Jakon Sutter and Dante Nigro accuse the star of commandeering the SUV they were passengers in, after a party in Malibu, Calif.

She then drove off in the car and was stopped by police on the Pacific Coast Highway after running a red light.

The officers arrested Lohan for driving under the influence. They also found cocaine on her possession. The incident resulted in a second DUI charge in just three months for the actress and led to an infamous 84-minute jail sentence.

Papers filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court this week allege Lohan was intoxicated and "hostile" and "endangered" the mens' lives during the "joyride." She allegedly told them, "She was a celebrity ... she could do whatever she wants."

But Lohan's lawyer Ed McPherson has dismissed the lawsuit, telling TMZ.com, "These guys had the night of their lives."

Lindsay Lohan sentenced to morgue for driving under the influence (DUI)

Los Angeles, CA
Lindsay Lohan is about to see dead people. The 21-year-old actress will soon be working at a morgue as part of her punishment for misdemeanor drunken driving, her attorney, Blair Berk, told a judge Thursday.

She has also spent two months in rehabilitation and has done some community service, Berk said at a hearing on her progress toward fulfilling the terms of her plea bargain.

Her two four-hour days at the morgue are part of a court-ordered program to show drivers the real-life consequences of drinking and driving. She must also spend two days working in a hospital emergency room.

Lohan was arrested twice last year on DUI charges and pleaded guilty in August to misdemeanor drunken driving and cocaine charges. She has already served 84 minutes in jail as part of the plea deal.

Lindsay Lohan sued by DUI chase passenger

Los Angeles, CA
The woman being chased by Lindsay Lohan before the star's notorious driving under the influence (DUI) arrest last July wants her day in court.

According to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in late December and obtained by the Associated Press, Tracie Rice was in a vehicle pursued by Lohan and driven by Michele Peck, the mother of Lohan's recently resigned assistant.

Rice is seeking damages amid claims that because of the pre-dawn incident she has had to shell out $7,000 in medical expenses, including those to a $175-per-visit therapist. She also says she lost her $60,000-per-year job. Rice says that $3,500 has been spent with the therapist in dealing with her residual terror from the DUI chase. She also saw a physician, a chiropractor and a pharmacist – and paid roughly $150 for prescriptions. An additional $2,000 was said to be paid in miscellaneous expenses.

Rice states she thought she was being carjacked when an SUV, driven by Lohan, pursued her and Peck at high speed, putting the two of them "at extreme risk of death or injury," until they made it to the Santa Monica police station and were greeted by officers with guns drawn. More >>
