Predators forward David Legwand was charged Monday with driving under the influence, Nashville police said.Legwand was pulled over near downtown Nashville on Feb. 15 after a police officer clocked him going 82 kilometres an hour (51 miles per hour) in a 56 km/h (35 m.p.h.) zone in his 2006 Range Rover.
According to police reports, the officer noticed Legwand’s eyes were bloodshot, his speech slurred and he smelled of alcohol. The NHL player said he had attended a concert.
Legwand also refused a breath test and was charged with driving under the influence. He is to appear in court March 12. More >>
