New York Giants' Adrian Awasom arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI)

In case you haven’t heard, Giants defensive end Adrian Awasom wins the Dummy of the Week award for Super Bowl XLII. He was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early this morning.

Awasom was pulled over by the Arizona state police on Interstate 10 in Phoenix around 3 a.m. According to Sgt. Tim Mason he was cited for suspicion of DUI and extreme DUI and was released. According to the Giants, Awasom — who has been on injured reserve since hurting his neck in Week 2 — was immediately sent home by the team.

The results of his blood alcohol test were not immediately available. More >>
